CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One, New York, NY is seeking an ambitious Senior Digital Audio Account Manager to help us scale the CUMULUS MEDIA / Westwood One digital audio business including podcasting and live streaming.  Our Digital Account Management team handles all post sale duties for our advertisers. This specific role will be at the senior level, handling our major accounts and sales reps. The position also includes assisting with the training and growth of our Account Management team. We’re looking for someone with a great attitude, that is detail oriented, thrives in a team environment but also able to dive in on individual tasks. A love of audio and sales doesn’t hurt, as this role involves interfacing with talent, producers and advertisers.

Responsibilities:  

  • The Senior Account Manager is the Team Lead on the Account Management team. The Account Managers will communicate and collaborate with the Senior Account Manager for all day-to-day tasks such as airchecks, recaps and troubleshooting
  • Will help communicate to the Director, Ad Operations any outstanding issues and work with him to develop any documentations or processes to help expedite and streamline the process to ensure its optimal and self-efficient for the team
  • The Top Sales Reps with the highest revenue goals and major Brand accounts will be handled by the Senior Account Manager to ensure the highest level of client services will be provided. 
  • Serve as the lead day-to-day Point of Contact for advertiser/ad agency relationships on campaign management
  • This person will assist in training and onboarding new team members and the new content partners that are brought into the Cumulus Podcast Network
  • Will provide quality assurance on the new platform and system integrations and migrations
  • All Troubleshooting issues from our hosting/ad insertion partner (Megaphone) and Order Management System (Placements.IO) will be escalated to the Sr Account Manager to address prior to escalating to the vendor helpdesk
  • Collaborate with sales planning to understand KPIs and advertiser goals and translate those goals in proper campaign setup
  • Review insertion orders, secure campaign assets, audio assets, and ad tags to provide to Ad Ops team for trafficking purposes
  • Provide quality assurance to Account Management by cross-referencing IO to trafficked orders, creative and tags.
  • Frequent monitoring & reporting campaigns status to key stakeholders – including external and internal campaign updates, recaps & useful insights, airchecks/screen grabs and/or video captures.
  • Support sales and optimize for full campaign delivery
  • Lead client communication and provide ongoing comprehensive in-flight reporting related to ad experiences, delivery, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot campaign performance related to technical bugs, third party discrepancies, and under-delivery issues

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in digital/radio/mobile advertising operations
  • Experience working with, or in-depth knowledge of, advertising platforms and order management systems – Megaphone, Triton, Counterpoint and/or Placements – is preferred
  • Experience in display and video advertising with a premium publisher or agency as well as talent
  • Strong attention to detail, thorough, accountable, excellent follow-through
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and keep excellent time management
  • Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint and written word skills required
