CUMULUS MEDIA San Franciso has an immediate opening for a full time National Sales Associate to support the CUMULUS MEDIA National Sales team for the day-to day activities of national and regional business. The national sales associate is an integral part of an audio advertising sales team and provides administrative support to the SVP of National Sales, Director of National Sales and the national team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking and have the ability to balance multiple deadline-oriented projects while maintaining a great attitude and sense of humor in a fast-paced work environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support to Senior Vice President of National Sales & Director of National Sales
  • Work daily with Cumulus Media National Sales Account Executives and Coordinators. This includes sales order entry, submission of traffic/continuity instructions, confirming and generating contracts, revising agreements, invoicing, following up with collections/aging and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the Promotions Department to quickly and effectively respond to client promotional requests
  • Provides support for various company initiatives such as Beyond Home Market (BHM), corporate partnerships and regional California client opportunities with Director of National Sales and Cumulus Media National Sales team  
  • Prepares and assembles research reports and client presentations
  • Maintain / update media kits
  • Works on highly time sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines.
  • Manages multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround time
  • Attend various client, sales and promotional meetings
  • May require some work/travel outside regular office location and/or extended work hours
  • Other administrative duties as designated by Senior Vice President of National Sales, Director of National Sales and Vice President/Director of Sales San Francisco

Job Requirements


  • 1-3 Years of experience in sales, marketing, advertising and/or promotions preferred.
  • Extensive computer skills including but not limited to extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, image manipulation, social media and the ability to adapt to proprietary computer systems.
  • Background in radio station continuity, media, or sales helpful.
  • Self-starter that is detail oriented, organized, and must be excellent at written and oral. communication and possess strong multitasking skills.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and possess a team player attitude.
  • Aptitude to make decisions and work independently without immediate direction or supervision.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.
