CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One,  is looking for a Digital Sales Planner to join our team.  We are looking for an energetic and nimble problem solver with a passion for the rapidly growing digital audio industry.  You should be a self-starter with a love of engaging audiences through great content.  In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for all information and process regarding digital & podcast inventory, pricing, and content as they relate to addressing advertiser objectives and maximizing revenue potential.  Additionally, you will support sales and work collaboratively and strategically to develop proposals that deliver against negotiated agency and client goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, creating, and maintaining sales proposals 
  • Driving revenue through strategic packaging and pricing of Cumulus Podcast Network podcasts 
  • Strategizing with Sales to achieve negotiated client goals by creating customized media proposals 
  • Translating the marketing elements into the campaign proposal 
  • Partnering and supporting sales managers, account executives, inventory analysts and the advertising operations team on the planning and deal life cycle
  • Analyzing campaign delivery and assigning make-good inventory 
  • Adjusting proposals accordingly in reaction to schedule changes and/or under pacing 
  • Leveraging deal expertise to proactively recommend optimized inventory solutions and opportunities 
  • Communicating effectively with agency contacts in order to properly deliver proposals and revisions, and to fulfill all day-to-day requests 
  • Supporting Director, Sales Planning with reporting needs including proactive inventory reporting, pacing, risk reporting and any ad hoc reporting requests as needed

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience 
  • One to two years’ experience building digital media plans, with a working knowledge of media math 
  • To be familiar with the podcasting ecosystem 
  • An understanding of the advertising/media industry and desire to learn and grow in the rapidly evolving digital landscape  
  • To be comfortable working and engaging with various levels of talent as well as advertisers and agencies 
  • Experience responding to RFPs from national advertising agencies 
  • To be comfortable working and engaging with various levels of talent as well as advertisers and agencies 
  • Experience responding to RFPs from national advertising agencies 
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks, while prioritizing your responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with revolving deadlines 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow through 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • To be a proven team player, capable of managing individual project
