CUMULUS MEDIA | Myrtle Beach is seeking a talented and dynamic Account Executive/Media Sales Consultant to join our team of integrated marketing/advertising professionals.  Of course you will have a strong work ethic, the drive to succeed, be detailed oriented, computer literate, social media savvy, a good problem solver and hold yourself to a higher standard of success than anyone else. If hired, once you have completed our best in class radio and digital marketing sales training. As an outside sales representative you will showcase our radio and digital marketing solutions via in-person and virtual face to face meetings with business owners. Cumulus Media of Myrtle Beach features FIVE of the Grand Strand area's most popular radio stations - 100.3 The Team,  Kiss 98.5, Sunny 103.1, Nash 106.5 and Fox Sports 101.9.  Our group of commercial radio stations entertain and reach tens of thousands of listeners each week.   We specialize in creating comprehensive marketing plans for local business owners using radio and cutting edge online digital marketing techniques that can include but are not limited to - Audio Streaming, Targeted Digital Display, Email, Paid Search, Online Video Pre-Roll, OTT, Social Media, Web Design and more.   

As an Account Executive you will identify and develop new business opportunities; grow existing client relationships; create and offer solutions that help clients achieve their business goals; close business and meet or exceed set sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to identify client business needs by gaining a deep understanding of their goals, objectives and processes as well as their external environment including key market and consumer trends to proactively develop customized advertising solutions to meet client objectives
  • Deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations (broadcast, digital, events); negotiation and closing
  • Beyond our broadcast products, have strong familiarity and become full-versed in selling both Cumulus’ station digital assets (e.g. streaming, stations website and social advertising) and digital audience extension products, display, SEM, OTT, SEO and more so you can deliver a complete marketing solution to your advertisers
  • Excel at prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals or other means to build and maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects
  • Follow all station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts and competitive analysis
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Cumulus in the marketplace
  • Think creatively and generate original ideas


Job Requirements


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role
  • Excellent presenter to clients of sales opportunities and post-sale successes
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
  • Comprehension of sales metrics in order to fill a sales funnel and robust pipeline of residual business
  • Positive attitude with the willingness to get beyond comfort zone to grow professionally
  • High energy and passion for the job
  • Flexible and creative
  • Digitally savvy 
  • 3 plus years in Media Sales background preferred/required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred/required
